The aim of the six-month course is to acquire an initial qualification in nursing and knowledge of the German language. The course also includes an internship in a care facility alongside the nursing lessons and the "German language in care" lessons. For example, participants go on work experience on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays and attend lessons on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Essential basic knowledge in the area of basic care and the application of prophylactic measures is taught. Language support, a combination of theory and practice in the classroom, practical examinations and guidance from practical instructors and specialists provide the best possible start to a nursing career or further qualifications. The program is AZAV-certified.
